THE NEW DATING GAME

Winning a few Mr. Universe and Mr. Olympia titles as well as pursuing an acting career doesn't leave you much time to meet new people, so maybe that's why in 1972, Arnold appeared on an episode of THE NEW DATING GAME. But Arnold explains, "It was just fun... plus I was an actor and it was a good way for me to get my face out there." Arnold was also very smart -- he made sure he was the one asking the questions so he was guaranteed to win. The prize was an all-expense trip to Hawaii. So did Arnold go on the date? Actually no. It turned out that the girl whom Arnold picked had a boyfriend. So what did the Austrian Oak do? He gave the girl his own ticket so that she and her boyfriend could go to Hawaii together. Even back then, Arnold was a Humanitarian.

So what did Arnold do with the extra time? He used it to go on and win a few more Mr. Olympia titles and at last glance, things are looking pretty good for his acting career too.
