June 11th, 2002 NOW ONLINE: TERMINATOR 3’S OFFICIAL WEB SITE!
Say it out loud: "Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines." It rolls off the tongue, doesn't it? The act of just saying the title brings a warm feeling and a quickened pace to every true Arnold fan's heart. We all wait for the summer 2003 release of this sci-fi blockbuster with a dreamy-eyed impatience like we would the long awaited return of a dear, absent friend. We wonder what the plot will be, we wonder how many times we will be amazed by the super-cool special effects. We scour all media sources for even just an inkling of news on the subject.
We find and visit official Web sites like www.terminator3.com, a Web site whose design gets you a little closer to what it might feel like to see the world through the menacingly cold steel, glowing red eyes of a Terminator, Cyberdyne Systems model T-800. We enjoy the curious machinations of the busy Web page while we register to receive even more information via e-mail about the upcoming blockbuster that we are certain will be Summer 2003's biggest hit.
Still curious for more information, we check out its various links to other Web sites that have information and official photos from the set of T3. We read that we will soon be able to submit our own photos to the Web site! We watch the parade of anonymous faces scrolling by and imagine our own faces on there. We imagine a world where the machines have all this information and use it to hunt their human prey. We shudder and remind ourselves: it's only a movie... a movie we desperately want to see.
We bookmark www.terminator3.com and remind ourselves to keep checking it and www.schwarzenegger.com regularly throughout the summer for more official Terminator 3 information.
