November 4th, 2003 GOV-ELECT SCHWARZENEGGER ANNOUNCES ROB STUTZMAN COMMUNICATIONS DIRECTOR
Governor-Elect Schwarzenegger today announced that he will appoint Rob Stutzman as Communications Director.
"I am proud to announce Rob Stutzman as my Communications Director. Stutzman is respected in his field and I value his experience," said Schwarzenegger.
Prior to serving as Co-Communications Director for the Schwarzenegger for Governor Campaign, Stutzman was a founding partner with CommandFocus, a communications firm in Sacramento, where his clients included the California Republican Party. His range of experience includes managing communications for high profile law enforcement events and California's litigation against the tobacco industry.
Stutzman served as Communications Director for Attorney General Dan Lungren, where he oversaw external communications by all department personnel. Prior to the AG's office, Stutzman served in the office of the Minority Leader in the California State Senate, giving him valuable legislative experience and allowing him to become well versed on a wide-variety of public policy issues.
"I am honored to serve in Governor Schwarzenegger's administration and value the opportunity to promote the governor's positive agenda as we work hard to turn around California," said Stutzman.
Stutzman, 35, who earned his bachelor's degree in philosophy from Point Loma Nazarene College in San Diego, will not require Senate confirmation. He is a Republican.
