Chicken legs with Hydrocel conditions?

I just read an Article on facebook by John Romaniello and Arnold’s Chicken leg article.

I agree, Personally i hate training legs and allways found i had to dig deeper to find the will to persevere during training of legs. Naturally i have strong legs anyway. But i also find total body work out when training legs.

I use to train heavily about 12 years ago when i was youthful in my early 20’s.
Back then it seemed my bodied was immune to most injuries associated with training.

Recently i made a decisions to improve my habits. in many areas of my life including business and in health.
I have been gifted with good physique from my father and realised i am neglecting a gift by no longer training.
So finally in my mid 30’s ive started training again. But now 12years older i am plagued with injuries. Hurt my back during dead lifts. shoulder injury from shoulder press and incline flies. And recently most severe is injury from Squats…

have you heard condition call Hydrocel?
I am positive this is directly linked to excessive training especially during exercises like squats?
These days i have reduced my training intensity to try overcome the injury and have totally avoided squats all together…

The injury occurred immediately after a very intense work out on squats and leg press that impressed me much with the focus i had that day.

I find when i do other intense training the condition worsens. And yet i can find no documented evidence that it is a condition linked with training?

I have tried Acupuncture and herbs and reduced and eliminated my Leg training so i now fit into the chicken leg category…

Any help insight appreciated?

I was actually born with a hydrocel.  Get to a doctor.

Before you take my advice, get to a good physiotherapist as well.  With that said, I’d recommend regressing your squats and deadlifts to something simpler and pain free and work your way up.

For example, you can progress to squats like so:
-Split squats
-Reverse Lunges
-Bulgarian Split Squats
-Walking Lunges
-Bodyweight Squat
-Goblet Squat
-Front Squat
-Anderson Squat
-Back Squat

As for the deadlift, the progression could look like so:
-Glute Bridge
-Single Leg Glute Bridge
-Supine Hip Extension Leg Curl
-Single Leg Romanian Deadlift
-Romanian Deadlift to Knees
-Rack Deadlift from Knees
-Rack deadlift from shins
-Deadlift from floor

If you don’t know what any of these exercises are, then youtube them.

Get to a physiotherapist, get the ok to try these out.  If the movement hurts, don’t do it until you’re better.

Thanks for the advice Jason. Yes have seen specialist almost immediately once injury occurred.
It is surprising that there is no known cause that they are aware off. And my suggestion of it being related to intense training was rejected.
There recommendation is surgery, I would rather focus on diet and new training techniques and basic improve well being first before resort to surgery.

I will try your recommendations, but perhaps avoid lunges?

Yes i found article about Hydrocel at birth with normal 6mth recovery… Im hoping same may apply to adults with healthy diet and smart training techniques.

Ya…the surgery is pretty simple.  I still have my tiny scar.
