I didn’t start the Pump Club app with a bunch of investors or a big tech company, because then, you have to do things their way.
We all know their way:
Robot trainers, constant upcharging, flashy interfaces, and results that leave you feeling like you aren’t doing enough.
That’s not my way.
My way is having programs written by the smartest humans in fitness (and me), trainers that meet live every week to go over exercise form with members of all levels, and members that report that this is the first app that worked for them.
I know the big investors don’t believe in my way, because they’ve told me. “Why don’t you charge more?” “Why don’t you make the coaching calls a VIP plan?” “You shouldn’t have live meetups without an admission fee.” “Why would you give people half their money back for just doing a program?”
Bullshit.
You know why they don’t give you 50% of your money back for using their apps? Because they don’t care if they do as long as your payment works. I care.
My goal isn’t my app’s growth. All I care about is YOUR growth.
